Free Minecraft server hosting on Kixa

The free plan is a real server with your own address. Here is exactly what it includes and where its limits are.

What the free plan includes

The free plan costs €0 and needs no payment card. You get 1.25 GB of RAM, 15 player slots, 7.5 GB of storage, a shared CPU and one backup slot.

Your server gets its own address, name.kixa.host. You also get the live console, the file manager, the plugin and mod installer, version switching, backups and team access.

The one limit to know about

A free server sleeps 5 to 10 minutes after the last player leaves. That is how it stays free. It wakes up again when someone picks it in the Kixa lobby at play.kixa.host.

Each account can have two free servers, with one running at a time.

Start one now

  1. Sign up at kixa.host and confirm your email.
  2. Choose Create your server. Start from scratch or pick a template such as Friends SMP, OneBlock or PvP Arena & Duels.
  3. Give it a name. The name becomes your address.
  4. Choose the Free plan, accept the Minecraft EULA and create it.

When you outgrow it

Paid plans start at €4.99 a month for 2 GB of RAM and 35 player slots. Paid servers stay on when empty and run on AMD Ryzen 7 9700X. You move the same server, so your world, plugins and settings stay.
