How to make an SMP for your friends

The Friends SMP template is survival with the usual plugins already installed, so you can invite people straight away.

What Friends SMP includes

Survival with LuckPerms for permissions, EssentialsX for homes and commands, and voice chat, all set up for you.

Set it up

  1. Sign up at kixa.host and confirm your email.
  2. Choose Create your server, then Choose a template and pick Friends SMP.
  3. Name your server. The name becomes your address, name.kixa.host.
  4. Choose a plan, accept the Minecraft EULA and create it.

Let friends help run it

Invite friends under Team access and give each one a role: Viewer, Moderator, Manager or Admin. Billing and deleting the server stay with you.

Common questions

Will the server stay on when we log off?
On the free plan it sleeps when nobody is online and wakes when someone picks it in the Kixa lobby. Paid plans stay on all the time.
How many friends can join?
15 on the free plan and 35 on Standard. Bigger plans have more slots.
